This weekend, MonteLago Village hosts the aptly named MonteLago Village Beerfest at Lake Las Vegas on the far outskirts of Henderson. On Saturday from 2 to 7 p.m., 30 breweries—including local favorites Hop Nuts and Boulder Dam—will pour their brews alongside more obscure ones like Three Monkeys from Madera, California, and Arizona’s OHSO Brewery. In total, about 100 different beers will be available for a little day-drinking action.

But this isn’t your typical beer festival. Everything takes place outside on the cobblestone paths, so you can get your drink on while spending a leisurely afternoon strolling around with the family as live jazz from the UNLV Jazz Studies program wafts in the background from the lake stage. Who doesn’t need more quality family time?

There will be a couple of special sidebars during the afternoon. Show up early from 1 to 2 p.m. and you’ll have the opportunity to take in the Brewers Live show, which features participating brewers talking about their craft and maybe life in general. And at 2:30, the Auld Dubliner will tap a special firkin of cask-conditioned Hop Nuts Hopathon IPA endowed with cashmere hops. So drink early and drink often!

Montelago Village Beerfest April 29, 2-7 p.m., $35-$45, mlvbf.com.
