Today is Earth Day, and what better way to celebrate than eating a meal that’s good for you and good for the planet? VegeNation, one of the Valley’s most-loved plant-based restaurants, is also celebrating a birthday—five years of serving some of the most delicious vegetarian and vegan fare in two locations, Downtown (616 E. Carson St.) and Henderson (10075 Eastern Ave.).

To mark the occasion, chef Donald Lemperle is offering a special anniversary meal (diners can peek at the menu on the restaurant’s Facebook and Instagram pages). All orders today will also come with a birthday cupcake.

Lemperle adopted a plant-based diet 15 years ago for health reasons, and he’s brought his knowledge to the Valley with dishes that speak to herbivores and omnivores alike. VegeNation’s mission is to create food that makes a positive impact on the planet, personal health and the community.

The Henderson location recently joined the original Downtown location in offering delivery and pickup services. A full menu of bowls, pizza, sushi, sandwiches and entrees, along with fair-trade coffee, smoothies and more are available from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday. (The Downtown location is open until 8 p.m.). Call 702-527-7663 to place a pickup order, or use Postmates, Doordash, Uber Eats, GrubHub and ezCater for delivery.
