Forget Denny’s at 3 a.m.; there’s an entirely a new way to kill time and sober up all at once! After a lovely dinner on August 18 at Nove came Svast & Stellar in the Satellite Bar at Moon, plus plenty of birthday shots, shots, shots! Leaving the Palms, an acquaintance known to me only as “the Friend-maker” magically produced a Frisbee and proceeded to toss it around the near-empty parking garage. The lighted disc resembled a UFO as it sailed through the air. I joined in on the Ultimate Frisbee hijinks, as did a few passersby—much to security’s chagrin—and our initial trio of players continued our game for about 15 minutes until bike security finally made us stop. I guess even the Friend-maker can’t woo everyone.
