The Nightclub & Bar Convention & Trade Show returned to the Las Vegas Convention Center March 7-9, bringing together the leaders of those industries for three days of demonstrations and discussions, cocktail contests and, of course, hundreds of companies showcasing their products on the expo floor.

Weekly was on the scene, zeroing in on the latest and greatest products being featured in N&B’s Emerging Brands Pavilion. A few of our takeaways:

Momenti Spirited Ice Creams & Sorbets Summer is right around the corner, which means many Las Vegans will soon be reaching for cool treats to beat the heat. But why not catch a buzz while you’re cooling off? Momenti provides just that with its premium-spirit-infused frozen desserts. The company, which will soon open a factory right here in the Valley, was sampling its blackberry Cabernet sorbet and White Russian ice cream on the N&B floor—the former a tart treat with tangy depth from the red wine, the latter a velvety indulgence with bold coffee notes and crunchy toasted pecans.

Shrub & Co Looking for a tasty mixer that transcends the typical tonic or soda water? Enter the shrub, a centuries-old vinegar-based beverage—and Shrub & Co’s spicy ginger variety is absolutely delicious. Made with organic ginger juice, organic cane sugar and organic white wine vinegar, the concoction is citrusy and peppery, with the acidic vinegar providing a crisp bite at the end to cleanse the palate. Shrub & Co recommends adding it to shots of your favorite spirit, or to your preferred beer or sparkling wine. And if you’re not looking to get a little schnockered, consider pairing it with a sparkling water for a delectable virgin cocktail.

Humboldt Distillery Cannabis Infused Vodka Weed brownies, weed cookies, weed candy and … weed vodka? That’s right, Humboldt Distillery infuses the clear spirit with cannabis sativa hemp seed (locally and legally grown in California’s Humboldt County), and the result is an herbaceous sip akin to your favorite gin.

Sportsman’s Redneck Juice Bloody Mary mixes were aplenty on the N&B floor, and Sportsman’s hilariously named variety is a robust blend of tomatoes, seasonings and “top-secret” ingredients. Did we mention it’s also available in a spicy version? The Somerset, Wisconsin-based company also recently branched out with margarita mixes, and both the original and mango flavors would be tasty additions to your favored tequila.
