In case anybody out there wasn’t quite sure, EDC 2021 is happening. In an interview this week with Las Vegas Weekly, Insomniac CEO Pasquale Rotella wanted to reassure headliners that the postponed dance music festival—the 10th event in Las Vegas and 25th overall edition of EDC—is definitely on for October 22-24 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and guests should finalize hotel room reservations and other plans if they haven’t done so already. “I know some people have been waiting ‘til the last minute and it’s [understandable] because of all the delays, but it’s time to make sure they start getting everything in order and plan in advance,” Rotella said. “We want to encourage everyone to plan now because I don’t love when people miss opportunities for more affordable prices [on hotel rooms].” Vegas visitors should also consider making club reservations for the more than 40 events all over town during EDC Week in Las Vegas, which will feature more than 60 different artists at venues like Ayu Dayclub, Commonwealth, Daylight, the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, Elia Beach Club, Encore Beach Club, Marquee Dayclub and Nightclub, the Strat’s Elation Pool, Terrace Afterhours and more. Lil Baby will return to the Las Vegas Strip for his first performance at Drai’s in nearly two years on November 6, the same night as the Canelo Alvarez-Caleb Plant fight at MGM Grand Garden Arena. Baby’s also on the Day N Vegas festival lineup one week later on November 13 at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds. Grammy-winning rapper TIP celebrated his 41st birthday belatedly last weekend (October 1) with a performance at Drai’s and a follow-up show the next day at Drai’s Beachclub. Next up for live performance at the Cromwell club is Ludacris on October 8 (and October 9 at the pool club), Gucci Mane on October 9 and Murda Beatz on October 10.

The Garden’s Pride Week lineup includes a special edition of the weekly elimination-style Las Vegas Drag Superstar competition on October 7; DJ Jesus Montanez spinning at the Arts District hot spot on October 7 and 8; the Bottomless Drag Brunch on October 9 and 10; DJ Alex Lo on October 9; and the Pride Sunset Session Party on October 10 with DJs Arno Diem and Orel Sabag. The bar and lounge will host the event each Thursday leading up to the Sunday Bloody Sunday Brunch Halloween costume part on October 31. Each weekly event will have a fashion theme, a red carpet, Ignite models and gift bags for the first 25 women to arrive. For more information, visit jingrestaurant.com.
