Club Notes: Iggy Azalea, Tao Beach, Starfire and more

The details are here for the opening of the gigantic new Tao Beach dayclub at Venetian. An open to the public preview event arrives on March 18, with Fisher and Mustard rounding out the initial weekend on the 19th and 20th, respectively. New resident Alesso will play his first set on March 26, and then a massive grand-opening celebration will arrive the first weekend in April. Afrojack, Fisher, Illenium and Kaskade are all set to perform on April 2, with Lil Jon, Mustard and Tyga taking over the rooftop paradise on April 3. Head to events.taogroup.com for tickets.

Starbase launched its new monthly “space-age nightclub” party Starfire, celebrating local queer artists, on February 12, with host Beverly Chillz and special guest performers including LaNova China, Jstn Wes and Tanna Marie. The event returns to the southwest Valley events center every third Saturday of the month at 9 p.m., and admission is complimentary. Find more information at starbaselv.com.

The big names welcoming guests back to Light Nightclub at Mandalay Bay continue this weekend, when rapper Iggy Azalea performs on February 19. The platinum-selling artist released her third studio album, The End of an Era, last summer and will be following Wyclef Jean and Sam Hunt, who helped reopen the club over Super Bowl weekend. Area15 is throwing a full-venue dance party dubbed We’re All Mad Here on March 12, featuring a headlining performance by French producer CloZee. The Alice in Wonderland-themed party focused on bass music with neon-lit décor, roaming performers and other immersive activations will also include sets from Luzcid, Veil, Lyny, Attlas, Talons and Not So Low.
