Since the Palms Casino Resort reopened under new ownership last spring, traditional Vegas-style nightlife and daylife clearly hasn’t been the top priority. Different entertainment events and programming have been held at its varied venues, including Ghostbar, Kaos and Soak Pool, but the thumping club scene the previous owners attempted to establish is not the direction this Palms teams has been seeking … yet.

The off-Strip resort is going big for Memorial Day weekend. The Palms just announced a festival-like lineup of R&B and hip-hop stars for two days during the holiday celebration at the Soak Pool, dubbed The Show: Sunshine Vibe Sessions.

On Saturday, May 27, Grammy-nominated singer Jhene Aiko will take the outdoor stage along with Rae Sremmurd rapper and singer Swae Lee and Grammy-winning rapper Saint Jhn. On Sunday, May 28, legend Busta Rhymes will perform with singer Jeremih, and DJ Boof will spin on both days.

Doors open at Soak at 11 a.m. during the weekend and tickets range from $65 to $150. Info and tickets are available at palms.com/the-show.

And this is only the beginning of The Show at Soak; Steve Sagan, executive director of nightlife and daylife at Palms, said in a statement that more summer entertainment for the multi-level pool complex will be announced soon.
