The Palms has announced Ghostbar will reopen on August 3. The 55th-floor nightclub originally arrived in 2001 when the resort was opened by the Maloof family. The venue was refashioned into Apex Social Club during Station Casinos’ brief tenure as owner and operator of the Palms, and new owners the San Manuel Gaming and Hospitality Authority announced it would resurrect the Ghostbar concept in January. “Unlike other nightspots in Las Vegas, Ghostbar’s DNA will be based on a concept that is exclusively inclusive,” reads the statement released today. “No private rooms here, instead pop-up performances will surprise and delight guests, DJs will ramp up the party as the night gathers momentum and Las Vegas’ own Midnight Skye [singer Skye Dee Miles] will bring the rebirth of cool to Las Vegas. … With a music theme rooted in soul, expect Ghostbar to deliver the funkiest good time in Las Vegas.”

Wynn Nightlife has locked up Swedish House Mafia for the electronic music supergroup’s first North American club residency, beginning August 20 at XS. Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello and Axel “Axwell” Hedfors will also play the megaclub at Encore on September 3, the night after their Paradise Again tour stop at T-Mobile Arena. The residency is set for two years at Wynn, at XS and Encore Beach Club, and both venues will add new audio and visual production elements to enhance the group’s performances, including customized stage design, LED displays, pyrotechnics and more.

The Barbershop Cuts & Cocktails at the Cosmopolitan will launch new country-themed night Wild West Wednesdays on July 27 with a performance by Mach Five at 10 p.m. The speakeasy continues to offer live music every night including Faded Karaoke on Tuesdays.

Illuminarium Las Vegas at Area15 has launched its new Ultra-Lounge experience, an upbeat lounge with unique entertainment programming available for those 21 and over on Fridays and Saturdays. One-of-a-kind immersive digital environments surround visitors while live DJs provide two different music experiences in each room and VIP bottle service is available. Upcoming themes include Recess Urban, an international group formerly known as Urban Hangover, with its red and white party on July 23; and Frequency 8 Spacestation, featuring DJ Mars and the Dancetronauts, on July 30.
