Remember when we told you that you need to check out the Silk Sonic afterparties at On the Record? Saturday’s edition was one for the books as the Park MGM nightclub threw an early birthday party for the one and only Janet Jackson, who was in Las Vegas to give the Icon Award to Mary J. Blige at the Billboard Music Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena Sunday night, May 15. After Jackson took in the Silk Sonic concert at Dolby Live, she arrived at On the Record at around midnight where her friends surprised her with a birthday bash, and a massive amount of music celebs turned out to say hello, including Usher, Nelly, Ashanti, Ja Rule, Jermaine Dupri, Jimmy Jam, and of course, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak. You should have been there.

In another weekend surprise, Travis Scott popped up to perform with Zedd at Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World on May 14. Scott made one of his first major appearances since the Astroworld tragedy six months ago with his performance at the Billboards, and he wasn’t the only one joining the party at Zouk; singer Cassie dropped in after her appearance at the Lovers & Friends festival to perform “Me & You.”

Wet Republic at MGM Grand will launch its new locals-oriented Sunday party Paradise City on May 29 featuring a set by Kaskade. The South Beach- and synthwave-inspired shindig offers free entry for local residents and future Sundays will feature resident artists Steve Aoki, Lil Jon, Afrojack and others.

Stadium Swim at Circa will debut its Rosé Garden for Memorial Day weekend, a new offering featuring bottomless rosé for ladies from noon until 4 p.m., multiple photo moments like flower walls and beachy day beds, games, prizes and more. Starting on May 29 and set for the last Sunday of each month through August, the event will accept reservations until Thursday each week, and ladies who RSVP will receive free admission and other party favors. R&B star Chris Brown is returning to a multi-year residency at Drai’s Nightclub, starting with a performance on June 11. The Grammy Award winner—who already has a co-headlining tour stop with rapper Lil Baby set at T-Mobile Arena on August 27—will be amping up his Drai’s shows with a brand-new, two-level stage setup that will bring him closer to fans than ever before. The singer and dancer was one of the first live artists nightlife impresario Victor Drai brought to his club when it debuted seven years ago, and Brown’s shows helped Drai’s establish its unique identity in the Las Vegas Strip nightlife landscape as the primary destination for full, live, concert-style performances in addition to standard DJ sets. That emphasis also cast Drai’s as one of the country’s leading nightclubs for hip-hop and R&B, moving beyond the electronic dance music that has defined the scene. Tickets for the June 11 show are on sale now and it’s Brown’s only Drai’s date at this time.
