Say "cocktail" and I'm on my way. Say "cookie" and I'm running! Dessert cocktails are hot! And the colder it gets as we move towards the holidays, the more you can expect to see all your favorite autumn and wintertime sweets transformed by top mixologists into delectable, drinkable treats.

But a proper liquid dessert does not depend solely on throwing together a bunch of sweet things and adding dollop of Cool Whip on top. Stock up on high-quality spirits and liqueurs (brands like Voyant and Three Olives, above), which feature spices and flavors of black tea, clove, cinnamon and cardamom for impressive pumpkin pie- and candy cane-inspired cocktails that are perfect for your holiday soiree.

Oh, and don't forget the 'nog!

Ingredients and method:

1.5 oz Voyant Chai Cream Liqueur

.75 oz Three Olives Vanilla Vodka

.25 oz Three Olives Triple Shot Espresso Vodka

Combine ingredients in to cocktail shaker filled with ice, shake vigorously and strain in to a chilled martini glass drizzled inside with chocolate. Garnish with a Pocky Stick (Asian chocolate-covered cookie).
