Old Fashioned Christmas Carol
- 5 parts Old Forester 1870 Whiskey
- 2 sugar cubes
- 2 dashes Angostura Orange Bitters
- 4 dashes Angostura Cocoa Bitters
- Luxardo Cherry (optional to garnish)
- Rosemary sprig (optional to garnish)
- Powdered Sugar (optional to garnish)
- Whiskey Ice, Cube or Sphere
- Whiskey-Soaked Coffee beans (optional to garnish)
- Smoker Kit (optional)
Instructions: Add Old Forester and sugar cubes to a mixing glass. Stir well to dissolve sugar. Add orange and cocoa bitters to the mixture. Place ice block into a highball glass and pour mixture over ice. Place a smoker hat on a whiskey glass and torch a leaf or two of rosemary so smoke drops into glass. Dust prepped rosemary with powdered sugar, remove smoker hat and garnish the drink with the sugared rosemary wreath*. Add 3 whiskey smoked coffee beans to glass and enjoy.
*To prep the Wreath Garnish, take a rosemary sprig that is at least 4 inches long, and pull it through your Luxardo cherry stem first, stopping just before you reach the end. Bring the stem around in a circle and insert to the other side of the cherry to make a 'wreath'. Set garnish aside.

FROM THE BARTENDER, Paul Bradley, The Singing Bartender
About the drink: The inspiration for this drink is found in a few symbols that represent the holidays for Paul. Although served over ice, he wanted to create a taste and aroma that makes you think of sipping on hot cocoa in front of a Christmas tree by a blazing fire. The smoked rosemary Luxardo wreath with powdered sugar snow was the perfect garnish to capture the holiday spirit in every glass.
About the creator: Born and bred in the bluegrass state of Kentucky, Paul has always had aspirations to be an entertainer. From singing to bartending, his sole purpose in life is to make someone's day brighter. He is extremely excited to have found a job at "The Star Piano and Cocktail Lounge" where he can fully utilize his skill set and talents.
