The Bulldozer tops the podium at 2011 Dew Tour Championships

The day belonged to the Bulldozer. Scotty “the Bulldozer” Cranmer threw his bike in the air as the buzzer sounded to mark the end of his second run in the 2011 Dew Tour Championships BMX park competition. The 23-year-old New Jersey native had thrown some big tricks—a backflip double tailwhip and a corked 720—to take first place in front of Dennis Enarson and Daniel Dhers and lock down the season’s Dew Cup with 322 points. Enarson finished second for the season with 301 points, while Kyle Baldock took third with 298 points.

And Baldock wasn’t done, either. In the BMX dirt competition, with a course designed by local rider TJ Lavin, the top spot went to the 20-year-old Aussie. Riding with a separated shoulder, Baldock bested Great Britain’s Ben Wallace in second and the USA’s Brett Banasiewicz in third. Once again, Baldock took the third spot for the tour with 288 points behind Dennis Enarson’s score of 304 and Brett Banasieweicz’s 291.

“I just have a good time and ride. It makes me so happy because I don’t ride dirt much at all, so now I can come be a contender for the Dew Cup next year,” Baldock said.

The Championships continue October 16 with the skate and BMX vert finals at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.
