Quick Bites: Graze Kitchen, I Heart Mac & Cheese, free beer at Sickies and more Vegas food news

I Heart Mac & Cheese has arrived in Las Vegas.

Graze Kitchen, a new plant-based restaurant concept from the local Persimmons Restaurant Group behind Firefly and Tacos & Beer, has opened at 7355 S. Buffalo Drive. The menu offers soups, salads, sandwiches, small plates and “Buddha bowls” as well as locally roasted espresso and coffee drinks. Graze is open daily from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.

I Heart Mac & Cheese is now open at 5130 S. Fort Apache Road, a fast-casual concept specializing in customizable, made-to-order macaroni and cheese bowls and grilled cheese sandwiches. The first location opened in Florida in 2017 and there are 20 stores open nationwide, with this new restaurant being the first Nevada location. It is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m .and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Pinkbox Doughnuts will celebrate the grand opening of its relocated Eastern store in Henderson on December 18 at 10510 S. Eastern Avenue. Set for 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., the opening party will feature an appearance by mascot Pinky, a live DJ, a photo booth, a doughnut eating contest and more. Three doughnuts served that day will have a pink ticket inside, giving three customers the chance to win free doughnuts for a year, and the first 100 guests will receive a T-shirt.

Sickies Garage Burgers & Brews at Town Square is offering a complimentary 16-ounce Shiner Cheer or Bock from its taps to anyone over 21 who donates a new, unopened toy. Donations will benefit HELP of Southern Nevada and the toy drive continues through December 20.

MGM Resorts International has named master sommelier Douglas Kim director of wine, overseeing more than 350,000 bottles within the MGM collection spanning hundreds of restaurants and bars in Las Vegas. Kim, a Chicago native, previously served as wine director at Picasso at Bellagio and sommelier at Aureole at Mandalay Bay and began his hospitality career at Restaurant Charlie by Charlie Trotter at Palazzo.
