Quick Bites: Su Casa, PT’s Perfect Pint Challenge, A Taste of Nobu and more Vegas food news

Su Casa has reopened inside Mi Casa Grill Cantina at the Silverton. The redesigned menu at the intimate sushi spot includes new dishes like salmon ceviche, an ahi tuna poke bowl with toasted macadamia nuts, a surf and turf roll with tempura shrimp and ribeye carpaccio, the Big Island sushi burrito and a baked lobster roll with spicy lobster and garlic yum yum sauce. Su Casa is open Thursday through Monday from 4:30 until 9 p.m.

Chart House at the Golden Nugget is celebrating the 60th anniversary of Chart House restaurants with a sweepstakes offering prizes such as a vacation for two to Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars and Conn Creek Winery in Napa Valley as well as a limited-time anniversary menu of all-time favorites. Those dishes include the seafood pot pie, teriyaki top sirloin, seared pepper ahi, shrimp beignets and miso-maple glazed salmon. PT’s Taverns will test the skills of local bartenders with its eighth annual Guinness Perfect Pint Challenge on October 9 from 6 until 10 p.m. at PT’s Ranch at 2430 E. Pebble Road. Bartenders will put their pouring skills to the test and competitors will be judged on pour angle, settle and presentation with the winner receiving a cash prize of $2,000. From 6 until 7 p.m., PT’s will offer complimentary pints of Guinness to guests, and $4 pints of Guinness from 7 until 10 p.m.

Mayfair Supper Club at Bellagio has unveiled the special limited-time menu that will be available during the Lío Ibiza takeover from Spain’s Pacha Group on October 18-31, when the acclaimed cabaret experience hits the Mayfair stage. Guests can choose between a three- or five-course prix-fixe menu of Mediterranean specialties including chilled shrimp with piquillo pepper sauce, loup de mer with persillade sauce, Pata Negra Jamon handroll, truffle risotto and the 24-karat gold covered chocolate Disco Ball. Legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa will be at Caesars Palace for “A Taste of Nobu” on October 22, an exclusive reception-style dining experience featuring Nobu classic dishes like miso black cod, yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño, Japanese A5 Wagyu beef tacos and assorted sushi. Live action stations will offer freshly shucked oysters, caviar and ramen. Reservations are available now for $350 per person for two seating times. For more information, visit OpenTable.

The nationally touring hard seltzer festival Seltzerland will visit Las Vegas at Angel Park Golf Course on Rampart Boulevard on October 23. Guests will travel the fairways in small groups sampling various hard seltzer brands plus brunch bites. Tickets start at $39 and more information can be found at seltzerland.com.
