It’s not every day that you unearth a city. But when we did, it was a cultural treasure. Built on the actual prehistoric site of the ancestral Puebloans, the Lost City Museum tells the stories of Nevada’s first permanent residents between AD 200 to AD 1200.

Only 10 miles from Valley of Fire, the mission of the museum is to store and exhibit artifacts recovered from local prehistoric archaeological sites from the Colorado River dam site for Lake Mead, the Hoover Dam, and the adobe villages of the Pueblo Grande de Nevada, also known as the Lost City. The museum also hosts local artists with regular rotating exhibits as well as displaying contemporary Western American art.
