DIGITAL TONY: DJ Hilton?!

We’re afraid to ask what’s next

Antonio Llapur

Holy goofy socialites, Batman! Paris Hilton is booked for a DJ set at Ice in November! Yes, you read that correctly. According to Michael Politz's e-mail newsletter Eye on Vegas, Paris is "firmly entrenched" in DJ school in preparation for her very first spinning gig. I contacted Marc Jay, Ice's marketing guru and one of the stars of the upcoming Spike reality show The Club, to find out what's up. The only information I could squeeze out is: "19th November Paris Hilton scheduled to spin at ICE. That's all we know at the moment."

In a related story, I'll be delivering my symposium on the development of nano-technology vs. stem-cell research to the United Nations this Christmas.

A Little Equal Time

Nightlife isn't only about Tabú, Rain or Drai's. Sometimes, I just want to wear a ball cap, get drunk with my pals, and try to pick up tourist babes.

One spot I dig is the Carnival Court at Harrah's. Cheesy and the DJ is a wedding reception's nightmare, but the drinks are cheap and the party can get crazy.

Another spot is right next-door—Margaritaville. I've always found the Jimmy Buffet thing a little creepy, but I never dis a good party. Margaritaville's got yummy eats, live rock, and of course, the best margaritas. The place is huge and the balcony view of the Strip is gorgeous. Stop by at least once.

Monday Madness

Mandalay's Moorea Beach saw the debut of Neptune. It was mostly locals and I had a blast. If Mondays aren't your thing, no worries—Garrick Entertainment and Clique sponsor Nude Friday nights at Moorea, too. For Neptune, though, you'd better act fast. Beach weather ain't forever.

Monday also saw the return of Game Entertainment's and VegasHotSpots' monthly rock-hip-hop mash-up, Rok Box, at Tabú. There was great hip-hop, proper rock 'n' roll, a hot crowd, DJs Stretch and Stonerrokkand and a hell of a good time.

Up and Coming

Stop by for Korby Roxtar's Roxtar Bar Friday at the Algiers. Along with Korby will be DJs Rob Ruckus, Warren Prewitt III and Amy Carelli. It's the farewell party for the Algiers. And don't miss Studio 54's Open Forum Sunday. It's a night of creative clubbing, filled with performances from some of the Strip's most talented artists. And locals are free!
