DIGITAL TONY: Twistin’ by the Pool

Check out these parties—and their dress codes

In the almost 30 years I've walked the Earth like Kwai Chang Caine, I haven't found a better way to spend a Sunday afternoon than the Hard Rock's Rehab pool party. Week after week, folks descend on the expansive and brilliantly designed pool area for sun-filled, debaucherous glory. They have food, tropical drinks, vodka-filled fruit, music, a beach and the greatest collection of beauties I've ever seen. It's also the only pool party in town where you can actually go swimming. And let's not forget the events, like the recent Stripper Dodgeball tournament. Don't believe me? Well, see for yourself at Sunday's Stripper Dodgeball II. The party goes from 11 a.m. till 9 p.m.

If you're against tans, there are nighttime parties worth your time. The Palms' Skinny Dip at its Skin pool lounge is a perfect way to spend Tuesday, hanging out, listening to DJ Dru. You can watch the dancing girls cavort under the showers or in a giant plastic bubble, like something out of The Prisoner. And let's not forget the mermaids. Skinny Dip is also a great way to kick off a night at the Palms with Always on Top at Ghostbar, with upscale hip-hop from Rain Nightclub's ROB and Hollywood, plus guests. Last week, I caught a great set from Justin Hoffman (Drai's, Foundation Room).

Friday and Saturday, you can catch the debut of Mandalay Bay's Moorea Beach Club, a sexy and secluded addition to the club scene. I checked out the preview a few weeks back, and I have to tell ya, this could be one hell of a little party.

Whiskey Beach at Green Valley Ranch always has its pool area open during club hours. The atmosphere is tops and the architecture and design are gorgeous. Every Friday, from 6 to 10 p.m., it's beachfront fun from KLUC 98.5. Also, the regularly scheduled outdoor concerts are a perfect way to rock away a warm summer evening. A big draw also is no cover charge for locals during regular hours.

The Flamingo features nightly fun with its Lagoon Pool and Flamingo Beach Club, with drink and food specials, live music and daily giveaways through September 1, and admission is free. If you're up in Summerlin, you can check out the Wild Beach Wednesdays, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Suncoast. On Thursdays, you can go by either the Stratosphere's or Sahara's pools. Both have affordable prices and both will pick up your first drink.

Digital Tony, You Goofy Bastard!

OK, I deserve a Red Foreman-sized kick in the ass. Last week, I told you about a Basement Jaxx show at Ice. Turns out, it had been canceled the previous week and I missed the announcement. Sorry about that, gang. I hope it didn't inconvenience too many of you. But hey, at least I'm still more accurate than the New York Times! Be sure not miss my favorite DJ, the one and only Icey this Saturday at Ice. I doubled-checked, he'll be there.
