THE DREAM ZONE

with Lauri Quinn Loewenberg

Last night I wanted my dream to tell me if things are going to go better with my boyfriend (we got back together about a month ago). I feel we've gotten closer and things will continue to be better, but I wanted to ask my subconscious for its opinion. I was freaked out this morning because I dreamt that my boyfriend was cheating on me and really didn't love me! I know that isn't true ... but it left me shook up.

Mati, 21

Lauri: Ask and ye shall receive! Most folks don't realize the enormous amount of wisdom their dreams offer on every aspect of their lives every single night. Good for you for turning to your dreaming mind for advice. The cheating in your dream doesn't mean he is or will cheat on you, but more likely he is spending too much time and attention on other things such as work or the computer or friends, and your inner mind feels "cheated" of that attention it wants. Is anything like that going on? If so, your dream is telling you to be prepared for this should you continue this relationship.

Mati replies: YES! YES! YES! He works soooo much because he's deep in debt. I'm definitely jealous. Thank you!

ARIES
(March 21-April 20)

Today should be splendid for you, with Moon in Leo until the late evening. Moon also sextiles Jupiter, ushering in a Friday bonanza, possibly in the love department, since Jupiter's still Libra, sign of relationships. Libra does oppose you, so if you're into "opposites attract," this could be a good sign (pardon the pun) romantically. Look out for a Moon square Venus/Mars love-hate situation, however. With Venus still in Scorpio (love with a sting), you could fall into a con or a swamp. Love: gushes; Career: top drawer; Health: let your conscience be your guide.

TAURUS
(April 21-May 21)

A weekend down-to-earth, while Moon's in Virgo, helps ease opposing Venus in Scorpio—that is, unless you like to wallow in the mud, which, let's face it, bulls sometimes do. Mars in Taurus goes retrograde Saturday, bringing a bout of peevish impatience. This could recur periodically throughout the next nine weeks. Still, Moon sextiles Saturn in Leo, also a friendly sign, so now could be the time to dust off that novel you've been working on since 1914. Use the retro to move it along. Love: amuses you; Career: keep it moving; Health: tend to it.

GEMINI
(May 22-June 21)

Monday and Tuesday signal relationship fun, with the new Moon in your play-pal, Libra. Venus remains in Scorpio (through October 7). It's enjoyable for Geminis, whose slightly warped minds adore getting sexually tweaked and astrologically aren't bothered by the femme fatale/playboy sign of the zodiac. Sooo...combined, those astrological phenomena could be just what the doctor ordered: a "sexual healing" for sure. Tuesday, as Moon conjuncts Mercury and Jupiter, you can "take it to the limit" one more time. Love: hel-lo! Career: jump-starts itself; Health: read above.

CANCER
(June 22-July 22)

Wednesday evening, as Moon in Scorpio trines Uranus and Mercury conjuncts Jupiter, anything goes for water signs in the love, war and work departments. You'll be thinking big and going for it. Up until Wednesday, however, I'd lay low and rest up, preparing to spring into action by the end of the week. Take advantage of down-and-dirty Venus in Scorpio now, because Venus enters Sagittarius October 7, when love matters become high-handed and, frankly, less exciting, at least on the sensual plane. Love: operatic; Career: dynamic; Health: glowing.

LEO
(July 23-Aug. 23)

Moon's been in Leo the past couple of days, and today it sextiles Jupiter. Lucky you! You'll be feeling more creative than you have been lately, with reluctant Saturn in your sign, so get thee to a computer, an easel, a drawing board or keyboard, and make beautiful words, images or music. You'll be fueled by a pleasantly contradictory placement: Venus in Scorpio, a square to you, yes, but also a spur to all creative souls, for whom eroticism is an essential ingredient in the creation of art. Love: immortalize it; Career: love it; Health: cherish it.

VIRGO
(Aug. 24-Sept. 22)

You're center stage this weekend, as Moon in Virgo sextiles Venus and trines Mars, which goes retrograde on Saturday. These placements evoke friendships and duties, and Saturday evening there could be a tiny dustup between you and a fellow earth sign, possibly a new romantic interest. Recognize that "this too shall pass," since the jerk (or jerkette) you go home with could turn into a prince or a princess, as Moon enters Libra on Sunday morning, and you wake up smiling. Love: surprise! Career: Monday's new Moon brings news; Health: let it be.

LIBRA
(Sept. 23-Oct. 23)

A new Moon and a solar eclipse in Libra on Monday, and a host of spectacular aspects also in your sign through Tuesday help you score spectacular windfalls. It's a festival of love and luck for you at the beginning of the week, and since Libra is about charm, beauty and love, you could meet people who will make your life richer and sweeter. Don't forget about Venus in Scorpio, however. By all means, trust ... but caution never hurt, either. Love: and you thought Valentine's Day was in February! Career: you'll be thrilled; Health: resist fatigue.

SCORPIO
(Oct. 24-Nov. 22)

Venus in Scorpio's dogged you for weeks now. You're in your element in the love/romance/ boudoir department, but so much attention to things erotic can take its toll. It's hard to work when you're (let's not be coy) horny. Make the most of it, because Venus enters Sagittarius next Friday, forcing you to make your bed, raise the shades, exchange black satin for white cotton, and sip orange juice instead of cognac for breakfast. Sag is all about the spiritual aspects of love. Bummer. Love: drink deeply; Career: let them know you want it; Health: come up for air.

SAGITTARIUS
(Nov. 23-Dec. 20)

Venus enters your sign on October 7. Until then, dark, brooding thoughts may fill your mind while the love planet is in Scorpio. There are huge numbers of Sagittarians with Venus in Scorpio, who wake up hating themselves in the morning because their love lives don't square with their belief that love should be spiritual, rather than sexual in nature. Since Sag is ruled by Jupiter, the bumptious planet, usually they are able to justify their behavior by lunch time. Love: unlimited; Career: believe in your ideas; Health: reject the blame game, with yourself or others.

CAPRICORN
(Dec. 21-Jan. 20)

Saturday, a Virgo Moon sextiles Venus and Saturn (your planetary ruler) and trines Mars, so you'll probably feel invincible. Still, Mars in Taurus goes retrograde that day, so when it comes to creative projects, take time to go over them again, carefully, and consider letting them jell for two months, until Mars goes direct. With Venus in Scorpio, any relationship involvements begun at this time are likely to be passionate and dramatic. Love: a new Moon on Monday signals the start of something big; Career: keep it simple; Health: stay centered, and accept.

AQUARIUS
(Jan. 21-Feb. 18)

Grab for the gold ring Sunday through late Monday morning as the new Moon enters Libra, and trines Neptune in your sign. A host of other great astrological aspects favor you in love, finances and work-related issues that could go in a surprising direction. Pitch a new creative idea or buy a winning lottery ticket Tuesday morning, as Moon conjuncts Mercury (thought, business) and Jupiter (luck and expansion). You'll have a lot of plates spinning in air, but then, that's your natural element. Love: exciting; Career: be ready to go; Health: inner peace is key.

PISCES
(Feb. 19-March 20)

You may have to slog through a muddy weekend, as the new Moon in Virgo, your opposite sign, opposes Uranus in Pisces Friday afternoon and squares a retrograde Mars in Taurus Saturday night. You could stay home, curled up in a corner reading The Power of Now to ease your soul, or (since Venus is in Scorpio), How To Make Love Like A Porn Star. The payoff comes Tuesday night, when Moon enters compatible Scorpio, and getting out and about seems like a much better idea. Love: on hold until midweek; Career: go the distance; Health: stick to the plan.
