THE CONSUMER: The Sexy Secrets of Victoria

Fashion-forward eroticism slinks into Caesars Forum Shops

Jennifer Henry

One glimpse of the supermodel mannequins all dolled up in designer lingerie striking sultry poses on a rhinestone runway and you know this isn't your standard Victoria's Secret. The Limited Corporation went all out for its boutique inside Caesars Forum Shops back in May 2005, including a retrospective of couture pieces dramatically staged in the rotunda's reflecting pool. Buoyed by its brand basics, the store also carries collections from obscure European ateliers Chantal Thomass and Intimissimi alongside black-label lines Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli.

It's been a year since Gisele Bundchen sashayed down the mini-replica runway in her angel ensemble, complete with ruby glass-beaded bra and panty set and those wicked rust umbra wings (still on display front and center in the foyer). Since then over a million wide-eyed guys and gals have wandered through, more than three million panties have been purchased and their staff of 300 is excited to celebrate the shop's success. First anniversary festivities begin this Friday, May 26th, and include an autograph session with angels Karolina Kurkova and Izabel Goulart.

Free one-on-one fittings and assistance selecting the right style and support will be readily available. Consultants from Betsey Johnson, Lucy B., Lola, Pout, Anastasia, Ole Henriksen and Stacked Style will be on hand for expert advice on exotic and everyday lingerie, as well as beauty basics for the blonde beach babe and fair femme fatale alike. For skincare consultations, the full fragrance line and makeovers in Victoria's signature make-up, the Caesars' store has professionally staffed glamour stations, lighted like the backstage area at their famous fashions shows.

To complement the Adults Only suite, celebrity fetish fashionista Dita Von Teese will be on-site signing her book, Burlesque/Fetish and the Art of the Teese. Behind the curtain, Yoba, Fishbelly, Spoylt and Luxe St. James designs are discreetly on display. Victoria's fantasy fashions and accessories are just for fun, going only so far as feather ticklers and fuzzy cuffs. But with over 250 styles and colors of novelty and next-to-nothing panties, Victoria's Sexy Little Things shop is proof that it doesn't take a glamorous get-up to get ogled. Stop in Friday to enter the raffle to see Ms. Von Teese's Jet afterparty performance.
