Bare Breasts Wanted

Martinis, they do a body good. Next month, the Beauty Bar will be donating $5 from every Martini and Manicure sold to Fashion Targets Breast Cancer, an initiative of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. To launch the Breast Cancer Month program, the Beauty Bar will be having a party October 4, from 7 to 10 p.m., with specialty cocktails and local fashion folk.

Speaking of Breasts

The first Playboy Club in 22 years is set to open October 5—along with the rooftop Moon Bar and N9NE Group’s Nove Italian restaurant atop the Palms’ Fantasy Tower—and the management team is coming together. Darryl Margolis has left Cherry, where he was general manager, to take on the mantel of assistant general manager. Taking on added duties will be Jovan Andow, who left Ice and the Foundation Room for the Palms several weeks ago. John Thomason has left Tryst for VIP hosting at both Playboy and Moon. But Thomason’s keeping his vice president of marketing title for local Syrup Swimwear—a good thing as the company is currently running a bikini-modeling contest.

Keeping Abreast of Pure

Sources from publicity firm Kirvin Doak and Pure Management Group confirmed this week that PMG will be opening a club at the Bahamas’ Atlantis Resort. The 7,000- to 10,000-square-foot nightclub doesn’t have a name yet and it’s up in the air as to whether it will include a patio. The construction site was spared from Hurricane Florence’s wrath and the club is on track for a March opening.

Nothing To Do With Breasts

Tao’s Operation Shoebox benefit on September 13 was a great success, with locals donating about 500 pounds of items for our troops stationed overseas. The items, ranging from CDs to tampons to boxes of macaroni and cheese, will be divided up into care packages. But just because Tao’s benefit is over doesn’t mean you can’t still donate. Go to www.operationshoebox.com for a list of wanted sundries and other info.
