Wolfgang Puck Signature Recipe Soup—Chicken Tortilla

14.5 oz., serves one (no matter what the can says)

$2.79

Available at most local grocery chains

The weather has finally turned cold, and you are digging out the heavy coat you brought when you moved here from a colder place. There are days, though, when even the heaviest winter coat will fail to warm. What you need is a hot bowl of soup. Unfortunately, most canned soups taste like crap. Except for the selections made by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck, especially the Chicken Tortilla Soup. No preservatives, no artificial ingredients, no gluten, no casein, and no MSG—just real chicken stock, small chunks of identifiable chicken and vegetables in a tomatoey broth thickened with corn masa flour. Plus, it’s at the regular grocery store. A little pricey for a can of soup, but worth it.
