Following the Long Island quintet’s tenuous hiatus and vocalist Ben Perri’s departure, April’s Wolf delivers a blast of melodic metalcore as accessible as it is lyrically adventurous (drummer-turned-vocalist Francis Mark has a thing for exploring extremes both physical and abstract). Gone are all traces of FATA’s emo past; what remains is a reserve of hard-earned confidence.
