1.

Get geeky. Honestly, how can the Las Vegas Pinball Hall of Fame, 3330 E. Tropicana, get any cooler than it already is? Besides being one of, if not the, largest collection of pinball machines in the world, the hall of fame proudly donates all of its profits to charity. But when Retrotopia, a one-day celebration of all things ’80s, including a vast array of games from the classic Intellivision video-game empire, rolls into the museum July 28 (9 p.m. $15), the place of all things that go ding, dort and pow elevates to hypercritical levels of cool. If you call yourself a fan of all things retro and geeky, you won’t miss this! www.pinballmuseum.org.

2.

Learn in their kitchen. Visit Simon Super Chefs Live!, a daylong food extravaganza led by TV chef Duff Goldman and chefs from the Forum Shops at Caesars—Chef Jose Aleman of BOA Prime Grill, Chef Kiko Ojeda of the Palm Las Vegas, Chef Dave Simmons of Stage Deli, Chef Kiichi Okabe of Sushi Roku and Chef Matt Montoya of Trevi Italian Restaurant. They’ll tell their secrets and compete in cook-offs on the kitchen stage. July 28, 11:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Free and open to the public. www.simon.com

3.

Have a drink and take a swing. Ever played virtual baseball, or virtual tennis, or virtual bowling or boxing, on a Nintendo Wii game system, on a movie screen, with both friends and strangers, all drinking beer of endless foreign and domestic sorts? Didn’t think so. So give it a try. Every Wednesday night at the Freakin’ Frog Beer & Wine Cafe. The party starts at 8 p.m. 4700 South Maryland Parkway; 597-9702; no cover charge.

4.

Be Fergalicious. Maybe she’ll sing about her $4 million deal to promote Candie’s fashion line—My lovely Candie’s lumps (lumps)/My lovely Candie’s lumps (lumps)/In the back and in the front (lumps)—or maybe she’ll stick with the standards. In any case, she was good enough to sing at the Concert for Diana, so we expect she’ll be good enough to sing for Vegas. Fergie plays the Pearl at 8 p.m. July 28. $78. With special guest Rooney. www.palmspearl.com.

5.

Take a trip to Springfield. Okay, we admit that the show has been on the decline for years, and the studio’s refusal to show the movie in advance for critics is a little troubling, but we’re still excited to check out the decade-in-the-making The Simpsons Movie, opening in theaters this Friday, July 27. Check out our review of the latest (and largest) adventure of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and their giant supporting cast at lasvegasweekly.com on Friday.

6.

Join Hef’s hutch. Bunnies—this is what they do, they multiply. The Playboy Club is hosting its second annual Bunny Hunt to add some fresh faces and tails to Hef’s coterie. If you’re over 21 and you think you’ve got what it takes to wear those sexy satin ears, head down to Ditch Fridays, from noon-3 p.m. at the Palms Pool & Bungalows, or create a profile at www.PlayboyBunnyHunt.com. A sexy bikini can’t hurt either. We’re just saying.
