Picasso!

It's another nice Picasso moment in Vegas. You remember the last one, right? Opening of Bellagio—Mr. Two Eyes on the Same Side of the Head was featured in the casino’s groundbreaking (for this town) art exhibit and in the swank restaurant that bears his name. Now he’s back, in two shows with “master” in their titles: In the Master’s Hands, a display of his ceramics at Bellagio, and Modern Masters from the Guggenheim Collection, at the Venetian. (The restaurant is still going, too.) On Friday, Mayor Goodman will honor the artist’s grandson, Bernard Ruiz-Picasso, for “his contributions to the city’s cultural maturity.” (This page: “Pitcher and Bowl of Fruit,” 1931.)
