There’s nothing like not protesting

Julie Seabaugh

1. Stay home. "The point of the event is not to go make some visible protest, like at a courthouse or whatever, but to be absent from mainstream society, i.e., work, school."

2. Check that check card. "Refraining from buying for one day will not ultimately affect anything, but if enough people do it, it will make a statement that can't be ignored."

3. Spend time with loved ones. "Meeting in a park for a picnic lunch with some drums would be a good alternative."

4. Visualize peace. "It's important that the nearly 90 percent of Americans who oppose the war and think that Bush should be impeached should come out and tell the world that we are not behind this war, and that Americans are (for the most part) good, peace-loving people." Or, just sit and visualize world peace.
