INGREDIENTS:
1 part Jim Beam
3/4 part Amaretto
2 drops bitters
2 parts orange juice
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Garnish with an orange slice and skewered cherry on the rim.
National Bourbon Heritage Month will be celebrated all September long as only Vegas can do it—BIG! To honor the more than 200-year history of bourbon-making (Congress proclaimed bourbon “America’s Native Spirit” in 1964) the Rio will sport a 32,000-square-foot Jim Beam wrap that will cover 40 stories and read “Not available in Pomegranate.” Seventh generation Beam distiller Fred Noe was on hand this week for the unveiling and, of course, some bourbon tasting.
