Much like the soaring dog in the Rev. Ethan Acres’ artwork “Miracle at La Brea” (No. 1), many of the once-local artists featured in the new exhibit Las Vegas Diaspora: the Emergence of Contemporary Art from the Neon Homeland have taken off to distant compass points. (Acres now lives in Alabama.) Some, of course, remain.
