60-second YouTube video critic

Damon Hodge

In the annals of viral videodom, in which we’ve seen a dramatic increase in the caliber, production and quality of straight-to-the-masses videos, “No Good” from local R&B singer Felina earns a passing nod. Barely. About a woman who fails to see her man as the philandering dog he is, the video doesn’t drive home the plotline as aggressively as you might hope. The friction seems a bit manufactured—particularly the slap at the end—and makes the song and Felina’s voice less memorable. Upping the protagonist-

antagonist quotient would’ve worked wonders.
