Jason “JROC” Craig, the Life of the Party

Hometown: Las Vegas

Age: 26

Profession: Lead VIP host, N9NE Group

Profile: You can’t miss him; you’ll hear his famous Thunderclap from across the club! “It’s just contagious,” JROC says of his unique ability. “It gets the party hyped up.” Whatever it is, this happy-go-lucky fellow needs little more than an excuse to spread his own brand of joy throughout the clubs at the Palms. After attending high school in Las Vegas, JROC joined the Marines (9/18/01, he recalls clearly) and was stationed in Iraq before returning to start his nightlife career at the Hard Rock. Only two months after opening Playboy and Moon as a bartender and JROC was a junior VIP host; within a year he’d risen with the cream right to the top.

Why I do what I do: “I enjoy helping people to have a good time. I really like it. I want them to leave the club saying, ‘Man, I had such a good time, and that guy JROC was so fun!’ I really couldn’t see myself doing anything else right now. Even though it is a crazy job and partying all the time, its very satisfying for me.”

Personal tidbit: Though he trained for the pro-boxer circuit—boxing at UNLV and trying out for The Contender—JROC now exercises his pugilism as a hobby, a way to work off aggression and keep his head straight.

What I’m listening to: Def Leppard

Latest Accomplishment: JROC the Bells, his Christmas party, broke a Palms record, simultaneously selling out Tuesday at both the Playboy Club and Moon for the first time ever. Next project? Valentine’s Day!
