See some of the best UFC fighters in history in one event. B.J. Penn, Tito Ortiz and Wanderlei Silva have given fight fans some of the greatest brawls in the history of UFC. Now’s your chance to see all three of them in one event on Saturday, May 24. Lightweight champion Penn, considered pound-for-pound the best fighter in his class, puts his title on the line by taking on Sean Sherk, while Ortiz, fresh off his “Celebrity Apprentice stint, fights undefeated Lyoto Machida in the light-heavyweight division. But the fight that’s got the Weekly crew excited is the matchup between light-heavyweights Silva and Keith Jardine. We’ll be there—will you? Tickets range from $50 to $650. MGM Grand Garden Arena. 474-4000 or ticketmaster.com.

Find Vegas’ elusive soul. Who dat say Vegas ain’t got no soul? Who dat? For three days at least, this purportedly soulless city will gets its fill. Jam-packed with enough B- and C-level celebrities and past-their-prime musical personalities to film a reality television show—Who Wants to be a Multiplatinum Artist?—the 2nd Annual Vegas Soulfest should be fun, fun, fun. There’s something for everyone: old-school R&B fans (New Edition expats Bell Biv Devoe); devotees of classic hip-hop (DJ/human sound machine Biz Markie); and the ladies (Chico Debarge clone Lyfe Jennings.) May 23-25. Flamingo Hotel and Casino. Ticket prices vary. For tickets, call 877-993-8499 or 888-809-9929 or visit vegassoulfest.com.

And Tiësto, too. Grammy-nominated and renowned electronic music pioneer and DJ, Tiësto will once again make a two-day pass through Vegas, this time for Memorial Day weekend. After more than two decades spinning, remixing and releasing top-selling albums (playing the largest-ever single DJ set in North America for over 15,000), the three-time No. 1 DJ in the world will bring his 2008 summer “In Search of Sunrise Tour” to our doorsteps for two more memorable performances on Sunday, May 25, at Jet and Monday, May 26, at The Bank. See a different side of the champ. Villainized in and out of the ring, welterweight boxing champion Floyd Mayweather will actually play a role many of us are unaccustomed to seeing him in: hero. The inaugural Floyd Mayweather Foundation Super-Fest will feature carnival rides, food vendors, live entertainment and an all-day gospel fest on Sunday. The event is geared toward underprivileged youth and adults. So if you know of any people who might benefit, please bring them out. 2 p.m. May 24-25. At the corner of Alta and Martin Luther King.

Fight with your duality. Thrash and grindcore groups Death Angel and Soilent Green take solace in singing about death, destruction, disembowelment and pretty much anything else evil that starts with the letter D. While opera titan Andrea Bocelli along with vocalists Michael Bublé and Josh Groban take solace in singing about anything involving love and any other love-like noun or adjective that starts with the letter L. So if death and disembowelment isn’t your thing, perhaps love is. (What’s the difference, anyway?) If not, well, then you’re screwed, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t miss out on two cool shows happening May 23. Trust us, it still beats watching My Big Fat Redneck Wedding reruns. Death Angel with Soilent Green and more, 6 p.m., Jillian’s, $10-$15. 759-0450. Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bublé and Josh Groban, 8 p.m., Mandalay Bay Events Center, $175-$275. 632-7580.
