Pasquale Rotella has consistently discussed the possibility of bringing another dance music festival to Las Vegas to complement Electric Daisy Carnival—something on a smaller scale but still relevant to the destination and the audience.

“Why not bring something completely different at the end of summer or six months away [from EDC], or something like that?” he said in a 2017 Las Vegas Weekly interview. “The people in the dance community want to go to Vegas more than one time a year, and they do. There is so much music there.”

That something different will arrive at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on September 4-5, seven weeks before the rescheduled EDC 2021 returns to Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Rotella’s company, Insomniac, announced the first Lost in Dreams music festival this week and today unveiled the lineup for the two-day outdoor event focused on future bass, melodic dubstep and pop electronic musical genres. Gryffin, Seven Lions, Chet Porter, Yung Bae, Elephante, Manilla Killa, SG Lewis, Washed Out and Crystal Skies are among the DJ acts.

“Transcending into a multidimensional environment of light, color, and sound, Lost in Dreams will deliver an immersive, visual festival experience unlike any other,” reads the announcement. Festival ticket sales will begin Friday, June 4 at noon at lostindreamsfestival.com.

Insomniac recently produced the first live event at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center in more than a year—a May 21 concert starring Deadmau5. The partnership continued with a Factory 93 event the following night and this past weekend’s Dreamstate event featuring Paul Oakenfold on May 28.

Insomniac continues its return to live dance music events this weekend in Phoenix, Arizona, and in Orlando, Florida, with the Forbidden Kingdom festival on June 11-12. EDC, postponed three times from its original May 2020 dates, will finally return to Las Vegas on October 22-24.
