Second Helping

Quarantine Cooking

Genevie, Leslie and Brock try to become great home cooks during the COVID-19 crisis and get some help from chefs Jamaal Taherzadeh and James Trees.

On the May episode of Las Vegas Weekly’s Second Helping food podcast, we’re staying home, staying safe and sharing all our kitchen experiences whether they’re good (Genevie’s sourdough starter) or bad (Brock’s Frankenstein chocolate chip cookies).

Leslie is making perfect-for-summer soba noodle bowls and talking to Libertine Social chef Jamaal Taherzadeh, who has been taking his family kitchen sessions to Instagram Live. Genevie cooks along with Esther’s Kitchen chef James Trees and creates a fantastic feast, and as usual, we can’t wait to talk about the best things we ate last month.

You can also find Second Helping on YouTube and Apple Podcasts.

Second Helping is produced by Genevie Durano, Brock Radke and Leslie Ventura for Las Vegas Weekly magazine.
