Quick Bites: PKWY Tavern, NoMad, Metro Pizza in California and more Vegas food news

The luxurious library at NoMad Las Vegas is back in business this week.

PKWY Tavern has announced two new locations set to open this summer around the Las Vegas Valley. PKWY Volunteer will open in July at 511 Dave Ave. in Henderson while PKWY Decatur will open in August at 4930 West Flamingo Road at the former Ricardo’s restaurant space. Both new locations are expected to be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The third location of El Dorado Cantina is now open at Centra Point, 8349 W. Sunset Road, near the Beltway.

Makers & Finders has opened a pop-up kiosk at Area15 serving its greatest hits of craft tea and coffee drinks, matcha, espressos and more. The kiosk is located in the Spine near the Wild Muse Boutique and also features two exclusive drinks, the Rainbow Latte and the Glowed Up. It is open daily from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.

The Excalibur Buffet will celebrate its grand reopening on July 1 at 8 a.m. New hours of operation are Thursday through Monday from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. serving brunch and lunch and children under 5 years old eat free.

NoMad Las Vegas will reopen the library portion of its restaurant and bar on July 2 at Park MGM. An updated menu from executive chef Michael Rellergert will be served Friday through Sunday from 5-10 p.m.

Sticks Tavern on Water Street in Henderson has updated its menu and hours. The sports bar is now serving breakfast and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until midnight.

The Island at Ellis, the tiki-themed pop-up experience at the Front Yard at Ellis Island Casino & Brewery, will remain open through August 1. Popular pop-up menu items like the teriyaki chicken burger and tiki quesadilla, as well as 10 specialty island-themed drinks, will continue to be served through the end of the month Sunday through Thursday from 5-11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. until midnight.

Metro Pizza founder John Arena and partner Chris Decker have announced a new restaurant project scheduled to open in Dana Point, California, in February. Truly Pizza is the result of the Las Vegas pizza makers’ partnership with Donna Baldwin and Steve Muller of D&S Partners, and its menu will be “guided by a philosophy of respect for tradition while exploring the creative opportunities made possible by California’s unique culinary and cultural sensibilities.” The menu will offer whole pies, pizza by the slice, wood-fired pizza, steel-pan Sicilian pizza, salads, panini, charcuterie and more.
