Quick Bites: Ferraro’s, Boss Café, lunch at Delmonico and more Vegas food news

Ferraro’s was named Southern Nevada’s Legacy Small Business of the Year for 2022 by the U.S. Small Business Administration. The beloved Italian restaurant on Paradise Road was recognized for being in business for more than 25 years and for increasing its sales, profits and number of employees.

Venetian vice president of culinary operations Olivier Dubreuil was recently honored with the Medal of Honor from the Master Chefs of France, the highest recognition from the esteemed group bestowed upon culinary professionals who demonstrate dedication to the hospitality industry. A native of Rochefort, Bordeaux, France, Dubreuil was inducted into the MCF in 2009.

The Boss Café by Buddy Valastro has an opening date at the Linq and it’s April 25. Inspired by neighborhood delis and markets in New Jersey and New York, the new restaurant will offer a variety of fresh baked breads, Italian sandwiches, bakery-style pizza, a fresh mozzarella bar, a variety of sweets and pastries and more dishes from corporate executive chef Bryan Forgione. The Boss Café will be located near the Caesars Forum bridge and will operate seven days a week from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m.

Lunch has returned to Delmonico Steakhouse at Venetian. Emeril Lagasse’s acclaimed chophouse is open for lunch Friday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. with a menu that includes a Creekstone Farms Angus tenderloin sandwich, mushroom-crusted petite filet medallions with smoked apple bacon, house-made pappardelle pasta and a bacon cheeseburger on a brioche bun.

Saffron, The Vegetarian Eatery has launched a new Sunday brunch program, available from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., featuring dishes such as: Saffron avocado toast with cucumber, watermelon radish and lemon; the blueberry yuzu parfait with Greek yogurt and toasted coconut flakes; ube pancakes with mango coulis and and fresh fruit; green curry hash with eggplant, bell peppers, zucchini and edamame; and Saffron Benedict with steamed broccolini, yuzu Hollandaise and a poached egg on toasted English muffin.

La Comida is set to begin serving a Baja-inspired brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. this weekend. Among the offerings: the Ranchero Bowl with potatoes, pinto beans, rice, chorizo, jalapeño bacon, eggs, guacamole and pico de gallo; eggs Benedict with ham and chipotle Hollandaise; and cereal-crusted French toast topped with bananas Foster.

Osteria Fiorella at Red Rock Resort has launched a new brunch menu available Sunday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. New dishes include: the Lombarda pizza with Fiorella sausage, chili flake and sunny side up egg; spaghetti carbonara and cappelletti with kale, ricotta and fennel pollen; short rib hash; fried potatoes with beer cheese; and the “famous” cinnamon roll.

Eureka on East Fremont has new items on its menu, including the Double Smash Burger on Parmesan-crusted brioche, the Black & Blue Burger with blue cheese crumbles, caramelized onions and smoked bacon, and shareable dishes like spinach and artichoke dip, the Ahi Poke Stack with avocado and sesame ginger dressing and the seared ahi tuna salad with crispy wontons.
