All Fired Up’s Gail Schomisch has helped install public murals all throughout the Valley. So when the Healing Garden in Downtown Las Vegas opened as a memorial to victims of the Route 91 shooting, she knew exactly how to give back. The ceramics studio opened its doors on First Friday and donated hundreds of tiles for people to paint—all of which will be permanently installed at the Healing Garden. All Fired Up will host one last event on October 30. Schomisch hopes participating first responders find some catharsis in creating a permanent work of art. “We really want them to be able to be part [of this].”
