Quick Bites: Delilah, El Gallo, Ada’s, Donut Bar and more Vegas food news

Delilah officially opens at Wynn this week on July 14. The opulent and glamorous supper club from the h.wood Group in Los Angeles, originally planned to open in the spring of 2020, has been hosting special private dinners and events in recent weeks, including an impromptu performance by Justin Bieber on July 10 following his July 9 concert at Encore theater. Delilah will be open for dinner starting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

The Buffet at Bellagio is back in action this week on July 16. Open for brunch seven days a week from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m., the buffet will offer its omelet station, pasta, pizza, eggs Benedict options, fried chicken and waffles, a toast bar, Alaskan king crab, smoked salmon, dim sum, a carving station and more. Donut Bar is teaming with New Vista, the largest nonprofit provider of supported living arrangements for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Nevada, for a monthlong doughnut donation campaign to recognize and honor those living with disabilities. Throughout July, Donut Bar will donate all the proceeds from the purchase of its blueberry with Meyer lemon doughnut to New Vista. For more information about the organization, visit newvistanv.org.

Ada’s Wine Bar at Tivoli Village will host a wine dinner in collaboration with Jackson Family Wines’ Spire Collection July 22 at 6 p.m. The event will feature wines from the luxury portfolio paired with a five-course menu from chef Jackson Stamper and it’s a celebration of women in the wine industry as guest host and leading consultant Marika Vida selected several wines from female-owned wineries under the Jackson Family banner. Tickets are $120 and are available at adaslv.com.

The next Taste and Learn event at Ferraro’s is set July 24 at 6 p.m. and will spotlight Azelia Winery, a boutique winery run by the Scavino family since 1920 and known for its Dolcetto, Barbera and Nebbiolo varietals. Wines will be paired with Italian small plates from chef Mimmo Ferraro and tickets ($90) are available by calling 702-364-5300.

Madero Street Tacos on Carson Avenue Downtown is also the home of El Gallo Breakfast Burritos, a sister concept with a menu available for dine-in, takeout and delivery Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. New on the El Gallo menu are Texas-style breakfast tacos served on flour tortillas with bacon, potatoes and eggs; chorizo, potatoes and eggs; potatoes, egg and cheese; or just eggs and cheese.

New southwest favorite El Luchador Mexican Kitchen & Cantina is working on a second location in Henderson and it’s expected to open later this year. It will take over the old Sweet Tomatoes building on North Stephanie Street near Warm Springs Road and will seat around 250 people with room for more on the patio.

CraftHaus Brewery is the official craft beer of the Mint 400, the oldest off-road race in America, returning to the desert outside Las Vegas December 1-5. The 2021 Silver State Mint 400 Blonde Ale will be available in special six-packs wherever CraftHaus is sold and those reserving a six-pack online for pickup at either local CraftHaus location will receive a free Mint 400 pint glass.

Las Vegas-based Carver Road Hospitality, which recently announced its first Carversteak restaurant set to open at Resorts World Las Vegas later this year, is expanding to Salt Lake City with Flanker Kitchen & Sporting Club, opening at the Olympic Legacy Plaza at the Gateway in September. The new concept features a restaurant, three bars, private karaoke and golf simulator rooms, a sporting club/nightclub and a cocktail lounge.
