A full day of fossil fun for the whole family!

Discovery Saturday: Unearthed! Fossils of the Silver State invites guests to explore Nevada’s fascinating prehistoric past. Visitors can learn about ancient creatures, fossils, and natural wonders that once existed across the Silver State. From dinosaurs and mammoths to the sea creatures that swam here millions of years ago, there is something for every curious explorer.

The special events room will be transformed into a prehistoric exploration zone featuring real fossils from the museum’s education collection, hands on fossil digging activities, crafts, puzzles, and interactive learning stations. Guests can also enjoy an Ichthyosaur story time and enter for a chance to win raffle prizes.

This family friendly event offers an engaging opportunity to discover Nevada’s ancient history through exploration, creativity, and hands-on learning.
