It’s never too early to start thinking about Las Vegas Restaurant Week. Three Square Food Bank’s annual event returns on June 6-17 and will once again give Southern Nevada restaurants the opportunity to showcase their venues and menus while giving back to food-insecure residents across the Valley. Restaurateurs interested in participating should email [email protected].

Two food concepts from the Border Grill restaurant family have opened as part of the concession offerings at T-Mobile Arena. BBQ Mexicana (burritos, bowls, salads) and Pacha Mamas (skewers, ceviche) are serving it up during events at T-Mobile on the main concourse near Section 19.

Al Solito Posto at Tivoli Village is now serving weekday lunch, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., and weekend brunch, Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Chef Steve Young and chef/partner James Trees have created dishes like lobster Benedict, braised beef cheeks with polenta, and an East Coast Taylor ham, egg and cheese sandwich for the brunch menu; and meatball parm or eggplant cutlet sandwiches, spaghetti and meatballs, shrimp scampi, and poached tuna Nicoise salad for lunch.

One Steakhouse at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas will be serving a special All-Star Burger and Beer Combo during the upcoming sports-filled weekend when the NHL All-Star Game and NFL Pro Bowl come to town. The One Steak Burger is a brisket-blend patty topped with hand-cut applewood smoked bacon and creamy butterkase cheese served with fries and ketchup, and it’s paired with Excited State Pilsner from local brewer Able Baker. The combo is $35 and is available now through February 6.

José Andrés brings his annual Truffle Festival back to Las Vegas this week at Jaleo at the Cosmopolitan (February 8-20) and later at China Poblano also at the Cosmopolitan (February 12-20). Black truffles flown in from Sarrión, Spain will be used in specialty dishes such as tacos de setas, quail egg siu mai, pan de cristal, chicken croquettes and more. Three grams ($18) or five grams ($28) of truffles can be added to any dish.

This month’s Taste & Learn event at Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar, set for February 16 at 5 p.m., will spotlight the wines of Prunotto in Alba with a full menu of wines and food pairings. Tickets are $90 and space is limited; for reservations, call 702-364-5300.
