Las Vegas is known as the “9th Island,” an endearing nickname referencing the city’s popularity with Hawaiians, whose cultural influence is an important part of the city’s story and identity.

Our 9th Island Celebration welcomes visitors of all ages to learn about and celebrate traditions inspired by the Spirit of Aloha.

Whether you have island roots or are simply curious, this welcoming event offers a fun and meaningful way to connect with culture and community. Bring your ‘ohana and join us in celebrating the stories and cultures that earned Las Vegas its nickname, the “9th Island.”

This event is FREE with admission.

An optional haku lei activity will allow visitors to create a traditional Hawaiian lei, worn on the head during celebrations and cultural events. A $5 materials fee applies.
